Earth elves is an environmental awareness program for elementary school age children.  Students from York University's Faculty of Environmental Studies travel to local elementary schools in Toronto, Peel and York region to teach children about the environment in a fun and engaging way.

The program involves:

• Organic farming
• Identifying Native plants
• Energy efficiency in the home
• Arts and Crafts using recycled materials
• School Clean ups

Teachers work with program volunteers to plan a fesible itinerary for the day. Workshops are usually 1 hour in length. If classroom time is not available, clean-ups around the school can also be arranged.
