Butt OUT campaign.

A campaign to end the pollution and litter of toxic cigaretets landing in our environment and disrupting already vulnerable marine life and environment.

Cigarette butts are some of the most abundant forms of litter found in our everyday environment. You cannot travel very far without avoiding finding a cigarette butt that has found its resting place in areas where we play, walk our pets, and forage for food. They are tiny packets of highly toxic and dangerous chemicals, that intergrate like wildfire into protected areas, including those that we rely on for food and water access. They are consumed and lead to poisoning and eventual death of wildlife. They enter storm drains ultimatly accessing our watersheds and dumped into our oceans where they compromise the lives of millions of marinelife. Wildlife are some of the most vulnerable recipients of this passive pollutant that can be actively avoided by BUTTING OUT!

Toxicological data has identified that there are over 1,400 potential chemical additives, contaning up to 60 known human carcinogens, including chromium, lead and arsenic.

Take ACTION!

Send a letter to your local politician to put pressure on cigarette manufacturers to alert smokers by putting a label on the dangers of cigarette pollution in every cigarette packet, to avoid the use of corosive and cancer-causing chemicals in their filters, and to move away from polluting people's bodies and our environment with their unscrupulous business practice.

Action is LONG overdue.
